All these are abit ex arr...sighh. 3 hours of dance and still clubbing? i dunno what to say. Personally, i really don't like clubbing. It's really a waste of time...as in the music's lousy and BLASTING into your ears that you might go partially deaf. The dancing there sucks cos most people are literally shaking their bodies (not to mention fats) in a crowded area. What's the fun in that? People might treat me as not knowing how to let loose and have fun...but i'm definitely sure there are better, more meaningful ways to let loose. For instance, dance classes help to hone and learn dance while sweating it out. Please don't tell me you can freestyle better during clubbing. I highly doubt it works that way. If you want alcoholic drinks and good music, bars are so much better. I won't like to stop people from going clubbing. I mean, it's their choice. They don't know how expensive it is to really go overseas and i just can't afford it. hmm..but i have a nagging feeling that this is not the cause of my depression. i can't pin-point exactly what is causing such unhappiness. but i know i'm not happy with life. i may look happy, blissful on the outside but i really crave something deeper, something more intense, something that will really take my breath away. i feel that something is lacking in my life...a void that needs to be filled, a craving that needs to be satisfied, a plea that needs to be fulfilled. i'm so tired...i want to brighten up and see the world happy and nice. maybe this is too idealistic, impossible to achieve. talking about idealistic, i always wished people would do things voluntarily, out of passion, because they want to do it and not because it's their responsibility. i admit that being highly responsible, i do things because i feel obliged to and sometimes not because i truly one to. My Friend By right, I should be the last person alive complaining about this. Judging from my rapid depletion of cash due to going out every single day, from morning to night ever since Monday (5/5) after my exam. I went shopping, ice-skating, tjchoir alumni, job hunting, badminton, ubin cycling, watching movie, recital, blast meeting..and still yet more to come. Yes, i thank God for giving me so many friends and a bf. Hmm, though we can hardly meet since our timings always clash :( Anyway, it's not like i don't enjoy everything i do. I really cherish the times i have with all these friends who colour my life, painting it pretty rainbow hues. Yet, I feel a wave of loneliness rush over me as i took the train back just now. Why do i feel this way? There are 2 possibilities: - Maybe i'm feeling lonely from not being able to spend time with myself, as in i'm not having enough 'me' time. So many times i spend my life being with others, doing so many many things that i don't have time to rest, breathe.
- Perhaps i'm so caught up with so many things that i've neglected my walk with God. Life is taking such a toll on me, robbing me of my time, precious time for God.
What i wish i can have time to do. More heart-to-heart talks, reading (I really haven't gone to the library in a long time), swimming, packing my room, watching my dramas, sewing my own checkered skirt and finding for a good-paying yet flexible timing job. I am so vexed by this because i have responsibilities that i feel obliged to keep and it requires my time. That means it will directly clash with a normal temp admin job. So i have to find alternatives but those include night shifts at hospitals or weekend jobs that will again pose another problem - my recital and church on sundays. The blessings will begin to flood us because we are in covenant with God. We are no longer strangers to the covenant because of the blood of Jesus. (Eph. 2:12-13) We are redeemed from the curse of the law, but not the blessings! Hallelujah!
Check out the blessings from the old covenant that we need to lay claim to: Deuteronomy 28:8-13 The LORD will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The LORD your God will bless you in the land He is giving you. The LORD will establish you as His holy people, as He promised you on oath, if you keep the commands of the LORD your God and walk in His ways. Then all the peoples on earth will see that you are called by the name of the LORD, and they will fear you. The LORD will grant you abundant prosperity --in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your ground--in the land He swore to your forefathers to give you. The LORD will open the heavens, the storehouse of His bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. The LORD will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the LORD your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom. We have even better promises now! (Eph. 8:6) Jesus said that in our lifetime we can receive a hundred fold of what we give (Matt. 19:29). That kind of increase can multiply quickly! All we have to do is believe it and we will receive it (Matt. 21:22). Let's just say that the Lord led you to give $100. The possible hundred fold withdrawal on that is $10,000! Give that and you can withdraw $1,000,000! See how quickly your finances can prosper by using God's financial system. You went from a hundred dollars to one million in just two deposits! Jesus said it best when He said... Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
Luke 6:38  What we give will come back to us overflowing into our lap! We will not even be able to contain it!
Just believe these promises and receive them! We can believe all of God's promises, because God is faithful! (Heb. 10:23) Every one of His promises are 'Yes' in Christ! All we have to say is 'Amen!' or 'So Be It!' (2 Cor. 1:20) That's The God You And I Serve!  2 Corinthians 9:6-9 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. As it is written: "He has scattered abroad his gifts to the poor; His righteousness endures forever." God is revealing how His "bank" makes transactions. To make withdrawals (reaping), we first must make deposits (sowing, or giving). If we need to withdraw a generous amount, we must first deposit a generous amount.
Once you become obedient to God's covenant of giving, a flood of blessings will overtake you!
| He wants us to be led by the Holy Spirit when we give, because He will speak to our heart and guide us in our giving. We need to be cheerful, willing givers. He wants us to be full of joy when we give! When we withdraw from our heavenly account and receive a harvest, God wants us to start the process of giving again. He wants us to give to every good work. God even provides the seed to sow, or deposit! 2 Corinthians 9:10-11 Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. God wants to make us rich in every way by using His banking system because He wants us to be generous on every occasion! When we are generous to others it brings glory to Him. Once this cycle of giving and receiving begins, it becomes contagious! A good example of this occurred in the Macedonian church. 2 Corinthians 8:1-5 And now, brothers, we want you to know about the grace that God has given the Macedonian churches. Out of the most severe trial, their overflowing joy and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity. For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability. Entirely on their own, they urgently pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing in this service to the saints. And they did not do as we expected, but they gave themselves first to the Lord and then to us in keeping with God's will. No matter how small the seed looked in their hands, they still planted. In fact, it was so fun that they even gave beyond their ability. They even begged for the opportunity to give! They were beginning to step into the area of overflow! Matthew 6:19-20 "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal." We first need to realize that in heaven God has a storehouse that is like a bank. (Deu. 28:12) We need to also realize that we can have an account in that 'bank'. Once we do that, we can begin to develop our faith in this area of our lives. The first step is to open our heavenly account. To do this, we must become tithers. Tithing is giving God the first ten percent of our income. Abram tithed when he offered the high priest Melchizedek a tenth of his plunder after defeating his enemies (Genesis 14:20). Because Abram honored God with his income, God visited him. God was so pleased with Abram, that He cut a blood covenant with him. A blood covenant is the strongest agreement that can be made between two people. God wanted to show Abram just how committed He was to bless him and his descendants (Gen. 17:4-6). When Jesus shed His blood on the cross for us, He made a blood covenant with us! Jesus is our High Priest just like Melchizedek. (Heb. 5:5-6) He receives our tithes and offerings and then blesses us. God even said to test Him in this. He said that if we will tithe, He will open the floodgates of heaven. Then, we will have so many blessings we will not be able to contain them! Send yellow roses to brighten up someone's day; to congratulate your friends and loved ones during Joyous occasions. | | - White | Spiritual love & Purity, the rose of confession, the bridal rose; "You are heavenly", "I am worthy of you" Commonly used as traditional bridal bouquet during weddings to symbolize a happy love. You can nevertheless use them to convey the message of "You are heavenly, I miss you" | | - Lavender | Love at first sight and enchantment Send lavender roses of course, to convey the message of your "love at first sight" with that special someone. You can nevertheless also send them if you would like to make a special impression. | | - Orange | Passionate desire, pure enthusiasm and fascination An excellent choice for a new relationship that you wish to pursue further.
